20 bancos europeos, que están desesperados por una solución a la crisis del euro

Líderes de la UE tramado sobre lo que debe hacer para detener la escalada de crisis de la eurozona y los bancos de toda Europa están rezando para que ellos actuar juntos antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
Las condiciones económicas en el núcleo de los estados eurozona como Alemania han empezado a tener un éxito , y señales de que las condiciones de crédito se están apretando para que los bancos están en todas partes. Los bancos con alta exposición a los PIIGS (Portugal, Italia, Irlanda, Grecia y España) sería el primero en sentir el calor de una cesación de pagos o la salida del euro.
Tomamos una lista de los mayores bancos europeos por los activos y se comparó su capitalización de mercado, acciones comunes, y la exposición total de la deuda PIIGS (gracias por las estadísticas bancarias, EBA!). Luego se calculó la exposición a la deuda PIIGS (soberanos y privados) como un porcentaje del capital de los bancos comunes. (Tenga en cuenta que HSBC , ING , Société Générale, e incluso están ausentes de esta lista.)
Hasta ahora, nuestro historial es bastante bueno - que predijo que Dexia era el banco más vulnerables fuera de los PIIGS en julio . Si la crisis de la eurozona sigue aumentando, veremos más y más bancos someterse a la presión de la exposición y se vuelve incapaz de tomar dinero prestado.
Peor de los 20 punto de corte para nuestra prueba terminó siendo igual a la exposición sobre el 175% del capital ordinario, pero en realidad se sale de control una vez que llegue a los bancos PIIGS (# 1-9). Pero la caída de Dexia sugiere que la vulnerabilidad del banco ya está filtrándose fuera de la periferia hacia el centro (# 10-20).
